We want the Austin Spokescouncil to be an open and inclusive forum, while at the same time remaining true to the principles we have agreed upon.  Please be sure you have read our Principles of Unity statement before attending our meetings. While everything about the spokescouncil is open to debate and criticism, it is important to understand where we currently stand on a number of key issues. This way you may effectively decide whether this is a forum through which you and/or your group should place your energy(ies).

As stated in the left hand bar, our meetings are held every Tuesday, 8:00pm at Austin Daze. (Directions.)

It is not necessary for you to come with anything specific to propose to the spokescouncil. However, it is best if you meet with your own group or organization FIRST, to decide where you stand on a number of issues. After you attend a meeting, you should REPORT BACK to your group about what was discussed, to develop a position to take at the next meeting, etc.

Even if you are just curious, come to the next meeting! We will be happy to explain what we are trying to do, as well as listen to your ideas about different directions the spokescouncil might take in the future.
